BAR - NIGHT 1 ...an average bar atmosphere...
full of dance, music and the noise...
STEVE, a nineteen years old boy, leaves the counter with a cup of whiskey...
In a corner is JANE, a teenage girl.
She keeps gazing at STEVE...
STEVE moves over to a seat...
he sits and JANE sits directly in front of him immediately...
they stare at each other for a long time without talking...
JANE breaks the rule first...! JANE - Don't do what you're thinking.
STEVE (in a low voice) - You don't know what I'm thinking.
...they remain to stare at each other...
STEVE (in a low voice) - What do you want? I can buy you a drink.
JANE (in a low voice) - I already have the one on the table.
STEVE (in a low voice) - It's for me.
JANE suddenly grabs the cup of whiskey and drinks it in haste...
she finishes the wine and calmly places the cup back on the table.
She returns staring at STEVE...
STEVE (in a low voice) - I told you, it was for me.
JANE keeps staring...
STEVE (in a low voice) - Fine.
What do you want? JANE - To talk.
But first, I need you to stop whispering.
I'm Jane.
STEVE (in a low voice) - Go on.
JANE - I saw you walk in here.
You don't look like them.
And so am I.
STEVE (in a low voice) - Go on.
JANE - Look around you, what can you notice? STEVE looks round for some time...
he then returns his face back at JANE...STEVE (in a low voice) - Go on.
JANE - The music, the noise, the dance...
But none of them is actually doing a thing.
(in a low voice) - They are not even talking...
STEVE looks round again and notices what JANE is talking about...
JANE opens her chest for STEVE to see...
JANE - Look, here, I've got a number.
I don't know what it means.
(in a low voice) - Do you understand what's going on? Do you understand any of these signs?The moment is interrupted by a great bang from outside...
STEVE (a bit frightened - in a low voice) - What is that? JANE - Come on, we need to find out.
JANE and STEVE move out of the bar...
